Terms & conditions of registration

1. Age and level requirements

The minimum age to participate in the courses is 18 years old. If you have not yet reached the age of majority at the time of registration, the contract will be signed by your parents or guardian.

A2 is the minimum level of French language required to participate in language stays including French courses and excursions accompanied by a teacher.

It is the teaching team that is responsible for assessing the student's level beforehand and guiding him or her in the class that corresponds to him/her.

2. Accessibility

Idiom'Arts is located in an old Bagneraise house (before 1900) with narrow door openings. As the accessibility work is clearly disproportionate to the structure, the school is unfortunately not adapted for people with reduced mobility.

3. Registration

To register, send us an email request specifying the dates you wish to come and the desired program. Upon receipt, we will inform you about the availability of the course and, if necessary, send you the quote for your stay.

After acceptance of the quote and payment of the deposit, your registration is confirmed.

4. Terms of payment (deposit and balance)

Deposit:

A transfer corresponding to 40% of the quote must reach the Idiom'Arts school within 7 days after acceptance of the quote.

If we do not receive the deposit within this deadline, we no longer guarantee the availability of the requested course.

Your registration becomes final upon receipt of the deposit. The contract is then deemed to have been concluded.

The balance:

The balance must be paid either by bank transfer or Paypal (+5% fees), no later than one week before the start of the course, or in cash on the first day of the course. You are responsible for all bank charges related to your payment.

5. Cancellation and refund

In case of cancellation on your part, the deposit paid will not be refunded.

In case of cancellation due to force majeure, on the part of Idiom’Arts, the deposit will be refunded in full or postponed for a course to a later date, if you wish.

No refunds or postponements of classes will be made in case of absence, once the classes have started.

6. Organisation of the stay, opening hours and public holidays

Before you arrive

We exchange ideas to analyze your request in detail. Your level is determined, according to the criteria of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), through telephone and e-mail exchanges. Then, a program is developed that is tailored to your needs, your learning pace and your interests. The program is designed to meet your needs and, if applicable, those of the group. Thus, the choice of workshops and excursions must be the result of a consensus.

During your stay

A new session starts every Monday. Public holidays, if they fall during your school week, will be worked, except for January 1st and December 25th which will be non-working and not made up.

Schedules may vary depending on the organization of the program but the volume of time is guaranteed.

Throughout your stay, you will benefit from advices and strategies to improve your level and achieve your goals.

The pedagogical activities included in the program will be adapted according to the weather, the teacher reserves the right to replace an activity if necessary, but the student will be consulted for the choice of another activity.

Activities with external service providers (outside the curriculum) are the responsibility of the same service provider, the Idiom'Arts school is in no way responsible for any change or dispute.

At the end of your stay

we will provide you with a certificate specifying the level achieved in each skill, the duration of the immersion and the training followed. We give you useful advice on how to continue your learning independently and maintain your level.

7. Passports, Visas and Insurance

Depending on your nationality, you may need a visa for your stay in France. Before starting any registration and payment procedure, you are required to have inquired about the visa requirements and to take all the necessary steps with the competent authorities. To participate in the courses, you must be legally present on French territory.

Also, we strongly advise you to take out insurance covering the duration of your stay in France in order to guarantee a minimum of risks: medical expenses (illness, hospitalization, repatriation), civil liability (damage caused to a third party), accident and theft.
