We're Prisca and Guillaume, and we founded French Immersion in 2016; an immersive French school born from more than a decade of travelling and living across countries such as Malaysia, Australia, and Spain.
With a Master's degree in teaching French as a Foreign Language (FFL), I set out to create French learning experiences as rich and diverse as the ones I was lucky enough to have as a global traveller. Today, I'm joined by a team of passionate, qualified teachers who share that very same vision.
Our approach is built on a simple belief: a language truly comes alive when you live it from the inside, fully immersed in a welcoming community and the rhythm of everyday life. And Bagnères-de-Bigorre, in the heart of the French Pyrénées, is simply the perfect place to make that happen.

Why learn French in immersion?
Immersion places you directly in an environment where French is spoken constantly. It encourages you to think, listen, and speak in the language every single day. This continuous exposure leads to faster, more natural acquisition; you instinctively pick up nuances, pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar, much like a child learning their mother tongue. You absorb idiomatic expressions and everyday language that textbooks rarely teach.
Studies show that one month of immersion can be equivalent to a year of classroom learning.
So if you're looking to take your French to the next level, you can join us at French Immersions for sessions ranging from 3 to 7 hours of lessons per day, for a week or more. We offer private and group lessons, and can help you book activities in advance so you can put your learning straight into practice. We'll also help you find the right place to stay; with a local host, in a nearby hotel, or in your own apartment.
